This photo is done using a technique called "painting with light". This is not a digital manipulation, but was done in camera, pretty much exactly as you see it, other than minor adjustments, cleanup, and toning. A full explanation of the technique can be found on my website FAQ [link].



This was photographed with a Canon EOS 20D and 28-70mm f2.8 L lens. 30 second exposure. Hand held light. This print is available for purchase on my website.
